Contemporary Dance Taster Programme (Ages 5–6)
Register your child now for a joyful four-week dance journey designed especially for our youngest movers! This taster programme introduces tamariki to the world of dance in a fun, supportive environment.
Through playful activities, children will:
- Learn to recognise musical rhythm and counting
- Build confidence and listening skills
- Strengthen their ability to follow instructions
- Develop foundational dance skills including coordination, body awareness, strength, and flexibility
Programme Overview:
- Week 1 (15 July): Warm-up games, exploring basic musical rhythms and movement
- Week 2 (22 July): Recap rhythms and technique, plus a creative dance task
- Week 3 (29 July): Build a simple routine using learned movements and creativity
- Week 4 (5 August): Final rehearsal and a mini performance to celebrate progress!
No dance experience needed – just bring energy, curiosity, and comfy clothes!
Please note this class is a drop off class and we ask for all parents to leave the classroom while the class is on. You are more than welcome to speak to the tutor prior to the class start date.
