Visiting Artist - Larry Abreno : How to Paint with Coffee Workshop

How to Paint with Coffee Workshop with Larry Abreño
About the Workshop:
Join visiting artist Larry Abreño for a two-hour creative workshop exploring the art of painting with coffee. This eco-conscious and expressive medium offers a unique way to create beautiful, sepia-toned artworks using a sustainable material.
The session begins with a short introduction to the origins of coffee painting and Larry’s personal journey in developing his distinctive style. Larry will demonstrate key techniques including tonal variation, layering washes, and blending for texture and depth. Participants will first experiment on practice sheets before creating their own original artwork inspired by nature, still life, or personal themes.
Throughout the workshop, Larry will offer individual guidance and encourage open conversation around creativity and sustainable artmaking. The session will conclude with a reflection and sharing circle, celebrating each participant’s work and insights.
